How do I use Notion?

How do I verify on WeChat? Who do I go to?
- Message @berry on Discord and say that you need to verify your WeChat. Then, send your phone number that you used to sign up. When she is able to, she will set up a time with you to verify because for WeChat, you have to verify the same time you register.
When do tutor seminars happen?
- It happens every week or two! Updates on this will be here and on Discord.
I can’t contact my student. I tried adding them but they didn’t contact me back.
- If this is on WeChat, add (user id: aangelinali) on WeChat and say that you are a Felt Tutor. Then, once she accepts, send her the name of your student and she will add you into a group chat with them as soon as she is free!
I can’t speak the language that my student speaks to set up a time to meet. What do I do?
- You may use Google Translate to see what they have to say, then respond back in English. Tell them to use a translator to communicate as well. If you are on WeChat, if you hold the message, it will even auto-translate for you. When the actual lesson starts, you will only speak in English (to allow as much exposure to the language as possible for them!)
I can’t view the Felt Tutor Google Folder. What do I do?
- Let @berry know on Discord by typing in the #tutor-chat channel and let her know your email!
I cannot check Notion this week.
- If you cannot check Notion for certain weeks, let your Branch Director know first.
I want to share this organization with others or my school. Can I?
- Yes!! If you need help, let us know.
I don’t know who my Branch Director is.
- Your Branch Director should contact you after you attend a tutor seminar! If they do not respond in 3 days, let us know in #tutor-chat.
What happens if I fail to stay active?
- After two weeks of no response, you will be sent a warning email. If you do not respond to this warning email, you will be removed from the FELT Tutor Team. Since our organization is all-virtual, we need to make sure all tutors are active and engaging with us.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF A FELT TUTOR

Tutor students weekly (or biweekly if once a week is impossible)
Update the Felt Calendar found below (CALENDER TO UPDATE) with your times for meetings and the meeting link
KEEP YOUR JOURNAL UPDATED AFTER EVERY LESSON. The journal entry should be 2-3 sentences long! (this is instead of giving weekly updates to your Branch Directors on Discord, the Branch Directors will just comment on your journal; you can still contact them w/ any issues on Discord though!)
Stay active and up to date on Notion and Discord
Check-in in the EDITABLES section of Notion
Attend biweekly meetings on SUNDAYS 7pm-8pm EST
Keep your Branch Director (Betty Lam or Naznin Rima) or Executive Director (Angelina Li) updated if you encounter any issues or have any questions!
